Liverpool will return to the top of the Premier League with victory against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
The Reds sit a point behind Manchester City, who reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup with victory over Swansea on Saturday, and can put the pressure on their rivals with a win at struggling Fulham.
But even with just eight Premier League matches left Jurgen Klopp does not believe a win at Craven Cottage will exert that much pressure as he has seen first hand how his players have coped.
"Psychologically we didn't struggle because we are not ahead of them any more and it doesn't change," he said.
"Being ahead of City is not that important but we have a game at the weekend and we want to win that game."
Meanwhile, Fulham are running out of games in their bid to beat the drop. The Cottagers are 13 points from safety with 24 points left to play for and know only a miraculous run of results will haul them clear of trouble.
