Fulham vs Everton LIVE: Premier League result, final score and reaction

A general view of Craven Cottage - (Getty Images)

Follow live coverage as Fulham face Everton today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Fulham FC 1 - 3 Everton FC

Fulham vs Everton

17:13

A smash and grab away performance from Everton sees the Blues leave Craven Cottage with a 3-1 win and all three points. For much of the first half, it was difficult to see where the goals were going to come from for David Moyes' side. That seemed especially accurate as Fulham talisman, Jimenez nodded home on 17 minutes after good work from Smith Rowe down the left. Everton got themselves on level terms with a cruelly deflected effort from Mykolenko, who atoned for his earlier mistake, losing his marker for the first goal. Everton emerged after the break with much more urgency and intent and went ahead through Keane's header after McNeil centred from a corner. Just three minutes later, Everton added a third from the industrious Beto. Leno will certainly feel he should have done better after a right-footed shot was allowed to squirm through the stopper's gloves. Nevertheless, it was agood finish from Everton's top scorer, who moves onto eight goals for the campaign. Fulham boss, Silva will be bitterly disappointed his side were unable to make headway in their quest for European football, today. It looked an ideal opportunity against a struggling Everton outfit, but they failed to press home home advantage. Fulham did have chances, and mustered an xG of 0.97. Everton's was healthier with an xG of 1.05, but they took their chances and take the win. They will now divert their attention to the emotional fixture at Goodison next week. Thank you for joining our live text commentary today and goodbye.

There is a check here for a handball inside the Everton area. Traore chips the ball up at Mykolenko's hand. His hand is away from his body, but he can't possibly get out of the way. The on-field official is asked to look at the pitchside monitor.

Calvert-Lewin makes a well-timed run in behind and looks to chip the onrushing Leno but the flag goes up for offside.

It was one win in the last 10 attempts for Everton before today. But it has been a near perfect performance from the visitors today. It will delight Moyes, who will now enter the emotional Goodison farewell week in good spirits, should they hold on.

Fulham vs Everton

16:28

Beto is continuing to battle hard for the away side. He leaps for a header with Berge but a stray arm catches the Norwegian and a free-kick is conceded. The striker needs more support around him to help knit something together.

Fulham vs Everton

16:26

Fulham have gone 15 Premier League matches without a draw. They have won seven and lost eight since drawing 2-2 with Ipswich back in January. They are drawing this one. Can they find a winner?

Fulham vs Everton

16:19

Wilson has his seventh attempt on goal. This time, it is wayward and goes high and wide of the far left post. His Fulham teammates will be disappointed with the selfishness shown there.

Fulham vs Everton

16:17

Beto looks to breka down the Everton right channel and is bowled over by Berge. Free-kick which will be catapulted into the Fulham box. Young slings it in towards Beto but as he swings to connect, the ball is hacked away.

PICKFORD HEROICS SAVE EVERTON AGAIN!! A superbly executed left-foot shot from Wilson has Pickford back-peddling to deny the Welshman. Wilson improvised beautifully as he allowed the ball to drop on the right wing before looping a volley with the outside of his foot that looked to be dropping in the far left corner. Pickford reaches high and tips the ball away from goal as he retreats backwards. Great save from England's number one.

Fulham vs Everton

16:13

SHOT FROM SESSEGNON BLOCKED!! Smith Rowe cushions a beautiful volley into the path of Sessegnon on the Fulham left. He feeds Iwobi who takes the ball and diverts it back to the full-back, who shoots from a wide angle. The shot has Pickford spreading his frame and blocking it out. Another shot on target for the home side.

Fulham vs Everton

16:11

A succession of Everton corners gives Fulham a bit of defending to do. Not much in the way of joined up attacks, but at least a bit of pressure now mounting.

Fulham vs Everton

16:10

Another long, direct ball from Branthwaite finds its home; the head of Harrison. A neat one-two ends up with a deflection from a Fulham player. A corner for Everton and a chance for a bit of pressure.

Fulham vs Everton

16:09

A lovely straight ball from Sessegnon momentarily allows Jimenez to drift between Branthwaite and Keane. He pokes it away from both players, but is forced too wide and the attack ends.

Fulham vs Everton

16:06

Fulham's Harry Wilson had five shots in that first half. As many as Everton managed throughout their whole team.

Fulham vs Everton

16:05

Fulham get us back under way at Craven Cottage.

Fulham vs Everton

16:01

Everton would have been looking towards their bench to change the game before that moment in injury time. They have struggled with scoring goals this season, but they do have some firepower on the bench, with Calvert-Lewin, McNeil and Ndiaye poised to make an impact. For Fulham, they haven't done too much wrong, but conceding so late in the first half will have irked Marco Silva. The plus point of that half, was seeing Jimenez break his slight barron spell by getting his 13th goal in all competitions.

Fulham vs Everton

15:58

Everton will be delighted to go in 1-1 after Fulham looked in control for much of that first half. Fulham's early dominance saw a couple of warning shots fired by Wilson and Iwobi before they got their noses in front with the poaching instincts of Jimenez ensuring he got in ahead of Mykolenko at the far post. The Ukranian managed to make amends just before half-time though as Everton tried to press higher up the pitch. They got their reward in injury time as the full-back hit a shot that was diverted in by Pereira. Everton got on the scoresheet inspite of only managing an xG of 0.22 in that first period. Fulham managed a marginally better xG of 0.52.

SHOT ON GOAL FROM ALCARAZ!! Alcarez gambled on a loose ball that Fulham failed to clear and angled an acute drive that Leno was equal to.

Fulham vs Everton

15:47

Three minutes will be added on at the end of this first period.

Fulham vs Everton

15:46

TIPPED AROUND THE POST FROM PICKFORD!! After Pereira robs an Everton player deep in his own territory, Jimenez backheels to Wilson who drifts across the Everton penalty area from the Fulham right. He feints to shoot three times before finally unleashing a shot that was creeping into the bottom right corner before Pickford tips around the post.

Fulham vs Everton

15:44

The Everton corner comes to nothing as a poor header ends up in the clutches of Leno who immedaitely looks forward to mount a counter.

Fulham vs Everton

15:43

Bassey storms out of defence jinking past challenges to wows of the Fulham crowd. But then he loses it, and Everton try to play the ball down the channel where Bassey should be. Beto fights hard with no support and eventually, the visitors earn a corner.

Fulham vs Everton

15:41

JUST OVER FROM IWOBI!! Fulham break quickly, catching Everton out of position. Jimenez feeds Wilson on the left edge of the area. The Welshman shoots, but it is blocked and arrives at the feet of Jimenez, who pokes across the box for Iwobi to take a shot. The Nigerian tries to caress a delicate right-footed effort into the far right corner, but it drifts over. He gets too much on it and lifts his shirt over his head in annoyance.

Fulham vs Everton

15:38

That looks a painful one for Branthwaite as Jimenez prepared to leap and used the centre-back's foot as a platform to jump from. Free-kick for Everton, with Pickford to take it well outside his area.

Fulham vs Everton

15:37

Fulham fans urge Pereira to shoot from around 30 yards out. They instantly realise why it doesn't happen very often as the midfielder skies his effort way, way over the crossbar.

Fulham vs Everton

15:36

Already, there is quite a disparity between both teams' passes in the opposition half. Everton have just 57 passes in the Fulham half, whilst the London side have 123 in the Toffees' half.

Fulham vs Everton

15:34

Alcaraz shoves Pereira on the touchline. He thinks it was a fair shoulder charge but the referee thinks otherwise. A bit of frustration creeping in from those players in blue who aren't getting any of the ball.

Fulham vs Everton

15:32

Young shows a bit of tenacity as he tries to get out of the full-back position down the Everton right. No Everton player has received more cards than Young this season. The former Man Utd and Villa man has six yellows and one red card.

Fulham vs Everton

15:30

A long cross-field pass from the heart of the Everton defence is taken on the chest well from Mykolenko. Wilson, tracking back, smashes into a challenge, but at the expense of a corner on the Everton left.

Fulham vs Everton

15:28

Fulham are hunting high in the Everton half, making it difficult for Moyes' charges to play through them. Harrison makes a foray down the Everton right and as he slings in a cross, it is deflected up in the air. A slight comedic moemnt follows as neither player catch flight of the ball. Another Fulham defender sweeps up before it goes for a corner.

Fulham vs Everton

15:26

A rare effort from Everton's Harrison does nothing to alter the momentum of this game. The away side can not get any rhythm going and Fulham press once again. That goal has incidentally moved Fulham up to 10th spot in the league ladder.

Fulham vs Everton

15:24

SO CLOSE FROM WILSON AGAIN!! Iwobi ran down the left and with Wilson loitering in space just outside the box, he was found by the former Arsenal man. Wilson looked up once and whipped his left foot around the ball, but it bounces just clear of the far right post.

Fulham vs Everton

15:23

It is Keane's first league start for Everton since November. It will be interesting to see how he copes against this vibrant Fulham forward line.

Fulham vs Everton

15:16

A LOVELY MOVE BY EVERTON THWARTED BY BASSEY! That was a nicely orchestrated move from the Blues. Mykolenko gets high up the pitch before controlling a long, searching ball and laying off for Garner to deliver a curling ball to the back post. Beto nodded back across the six-yard box, but Bassey intercepts before an Everton body can connect.

Fulham vs Everton

15:14

A rare break for Everton sees Beto just about get in front of his marker before getting buffeted in the back and earning a free-kick.

Fulham vs Everton

15:13

ANOTHER EFFORT ON TARGET FROM FULHAM! This time Iwobi lines one up as he approaches the left edge of the Everton area before arrowing a shot low but close enough to Pickford for Everton fans to rest easy. Everton will not want to continue to allow shots on goal though.

Fulham vs Everton

15:11

Cultured defending from Branthwaite who lets a diagonal Fulham ball from Bassey drift across his chest and away from Jimenez before clearing.

Fulham vs Everton

15:10

A brief break in play as Tete nurses his face after blocking Mykolenko's cross with it. He is back up now and ready to continue.

Fulham vs Everton

15:09

All six of Wilson's goal contributions this season have come in the last 22 minutes of matches.

Fulham vs Everton

15:08

SHOT FROM WILSON BUT STRAIGHT AT PICKFORD!! First effort on target in this game sees Wilson line up a left-footed shot from just outside the area. It was straight at the keeper and was always too close to Pickford who took the sting out of it with his palms before picking up cleanly.

Fulham vs Everton

15:06

Bassey in the Fulham defence slows play down and looks to establish a bit of order. A bit of possession football ends up with Leno slipping a ball to Berge who strides purposefully throught the middle before earning a free-kick.

Fulham vs Everton

15:03

Neat interplay from Iwobi, Smith Rowe and Pereira finish up with a ball being clipped into the area by Iwobi on the left is blocked. Hopeful Fulham shouts of handball are ignored by the referee.

David Moyes makes a plethora of changes to the eleven that started in the 2-2 draw against Ipswich. Four changes in personnel with Keane and Young replacing O'Brien and Patterson in defence. Whilst Ndiaye (Everton's joint top scorer) and McNeil (eight goal contributions) make way for Doucoure and Harrison further up the pitch. Calvert-Lewin is once again made to wait for his opportunity with Beto favoured in the lone striker role.

Fulham boss, Marco Silva, makes two changes from the side that lost to Villa. In comes Pereira, who shakes off a knock to replace Lukic and take his place in midfield alongside Berge. From an Everton point of view, the focus (understandably) is being heavily placed on the emotional events of next week when they wave goodbye to Goodison Park-one of English football’s most iconic venues-and prepare to welcome in the new era at the state-of-the-art Everton Stadium. That said, David Moyes is far too pragmatic to allow sentiment to obstruct the task in hand, which is to prepare his Blues to face former Toffees boss Marco Silva and his Fulham team, who sit three places and 12 points in front of them.

Fulham vs Everton

14:30

Fulham are stuttering and stalling their way to the Premier League finish line as they desperately cling to fading hopes of gaining a European spot. Marco Silva’s side have just one Premier League win from their last four attempts through April and May. Their plight has probably not been helped by mounting speculation regarding the future of the Cottagers boss. The latest tabloid columns had suggested that Saudi club, Al-Hilal were interested in securing his services, but Silva was quick to quell any concern in his pre-match press conference, insisting, “My future is in Fulham next season.”
