Chelsea were 2-1 winners at Craven Cottage in a game where all the goals came in the first half.
Gonzalo Higuain gave the visitors a 20th minute lead, which was cancelled out eight minutes later by Calum Chambers.
However, Jorginho’s 31st minute goal won it for the visitors – but there was late drama as Kepa Arrizabalaga saved an Aleksandar Mitrovic header, before Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon saw a late effort disallowed.
The win takes Maurizio Sarri’s side to within two points of the top four.
A win with their game in hand, against Brighton, will lift them above fourth placed Man United.
Hello, and welcome to our coverage of another action-packed day of Premier League action, with plenty of banter along the way to go with it.
Three huge games take place today, with the Merseyside derby taking place later in the afternoon following Chelsea's visit of Fulham.
However, first up is Brendan Rodgers' first game in charge of Leicester City at Watford and we'll have team news from Vicarage Road very soon.
He looks in erm.... high spirits.

And here are those teams from Vicarage Road as promised
A reminder of how the preview to Rodgers' first game went yesterday
I know I will be....
Jokes aside though, this is a huge first game for Brendan Rodgers after he was appointed following the sacking of Claude Puel.
There were some pretty distasteful banners at Neil Lennon's first game in charge of Celtic yesterday, but he will hope to keep the Foxes' fans on side for a lot longer by rebuilding their fortunes.
The East Midlanders have won just twice in the league this calendar year, the latest of which came against Brighton in midweek, a game for which Rodgers was in attendance.
But they'll need more than that if they want to arrest their gradual slide and move into the top half of the table again, but there's a tough start in waiting with eight-place Watford their hosts today.
And it just got a little tougher....

I'm sure you'll all agree this was something.
It's not all about Brendan Rodgers today though, with Watford looking to once again go level on points with Wolves after their 2-0 win over Cardiff yesterday in the clubs' battle to finish highest behind the top six.
The Hornets face both Manchester clubs in two of their next three Premier League games so will need to return to winning ways here after their drubbing at Anfield in midweek.

David Moyes is in the Sky Sports studio discussing the day's final game, but he has denied that it is Everton's "World Cup final".
Nevertheless, while it may not be for the team itself, Jamie Carragher believes it will be for the Everton supporters.
There's going to be a brilliant atmosphere at Goodison Park later, but there will be an excellent one at Vicarage Road as well given the raucous support given by both sides.
He was a frustrated man under Claude Puel, but Jamie Vardy will hope that he can begin afresh with Rodgers, who believes that he can get the striker back to his best form.
Vardy has nine goals and three assists in the league this term.
Rodgers has paid tribute to his predecessor Claude Puel in an interview with Sky Sports, particularly praising the Frenchman for maintaining their counter-attacking abilities.
However, it is clear with the new formation that he wants to improve the defensive aspect, which Rodgers says is key to improving their form and competing for European football, which he says should be the club's aim.
A very honest start as ever from Rodgers.
"They are the best set of young players outside the top six."
This is Jamie Carragher's verdict on the five 22-year-old or younger players starting today at Vicarage Road, and the reason Carragher believes Brendan Rodgers took the job.
Here is that very frank interview, with five minutes to go until kick-off.
Antonio Conte is a surprise guest here at Vicarage Road as the teams emerge from the tunnel.
How will Brendan Rodgers fare then on his return to the Premier League?
4 min: Watford 0-0 Leicester City
What a save from Schmeichel that is!
Morgan makes a mess of clearing a free-kick and it falls to Mariappa, whose firm strike is blocked at point-blank range by the Dane, before Morgan recovers to block Deulofeu's rebound effort.
9 min: Watford 1-0 Leicester City
Leicester look incredibly vulnerable at the back so far again, and this time it is Pereyra who is played through but Schmeichel is out quickly to clear.
A sluggish start from the Foxes if we're being honest here.
12 min: Watford 1-0 Leicester City
Good reaction from the visitors though.
Barnes has got into some decent position in the box after some lackluster Watford defending, but they have managed to shut the door just the time.
