Fulham vs Cardiff
Premier League 2018-19
Venue: Craven Cottage
Date: Saturday, 27 April, 2019
Kick-off time: 3:00pm BST

Cardiff City head to Fulham this week looking for a result which could help them avoid joining the west London club in the Championship next season.

Neil Warnock's Bluebirds are three points adrift of safety in the relegation zone, and have three more games to try and save themselves from the drop.

The Welsh club would normally be heartened at the prospect of facing Fulham - already relegated with 76 goals conceded this term - but Scott Parker has guided the club to wins in their last two games.

While Cardiff cannot mathematically be relegated this weekend, anything less than a win would leave them with a lot of work to do.

Fulham vs Cardiff team news and predicted line-ups

Fulham could have defender Alfie Mawson back in contention following a long-term knee problem.

Midfielder Tom Cairney should be available again after missing last weekend's win at Bournemouth following the birth of his child. Andre Schurrle may sit out Saturday's game as his wife is due to have their baby.

On-loan Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah continues his recovery from a knee ligament problem, while goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli (knee) and midfielder Lazar Markovic (calf) are also in rehabilitation.

Fulham XI: Sergio Rico, Christie, Le Marchand, Ream, Bryan, Chambers, Seri, Sessegnon, Cairney, Babel, Mitrovic

Cardiff XI: Etheridge, Peltier, Morrison, Manga, Bennett, Gunnarsson, Hoilett, Camarasa, Bacuna, Mendez-Laing, Niasse

Score prediction: Fulham 2-2 Cardiff

The two sides have conceded 141 goals between them in 70 games this season, so it's safe to assume that there will be goals at either end on Saturday.

Fulham are playing with a new-found freedom of late, with caretaker manager Parker sparking hope for next season. Cardiff, though, will be desperate for points, and it could be a game littered with mistakes and defined by a frantic finale.
