Fulham target Arsenal defender William Saliba and Chelsea man Ruben Loftus-Cheek on transfer deadline day

Fulham are pushing to land at least two deadline-day signings after their dire start to the season.

Yesterday’s defeat at Wolves made it four defeats from their first four games and the Cottagers are hopeful of bringing in two new centre-backs today.

They are keen to bring in Barcelona’s Jean-Clair Todibo and agree a loan deal for Arsenal’s William Saliba, although they face competition from France for the Gunners defender.

Fulham manager Scott Parker and director of football Tony Khan are also keen to add a midfielder before tonight’s deadline and are interested in bringing in Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan, although it is understood a season-long loan, including wages, would cost them in the region of £8million.
