Fulham set to sign Terrence Kongolo from Huddersfield on permanent deal

Fulham have finalised a deadline day deal to sign defender Terrence Kongolo on a permanent deal from Huddersfield.

The 26-year-old joined the Cottagers on loan in January earlier this year but picked up a season-ending foot injury during his only league appearance for Scott Parker's side in February.

Kongolo has passed his medical and will make the move for a fee of up to £7million. His arrival could mean defensive departures before the close of the domestic window, with Fulham having signed an additional two central defenders on the final day of the main transfer window.

One man leaving the club is Anthony Knockaert. The winger signed on loan from Brighton last year before his move was made permanent in July after a certain number of appearances triggered an obligation to buy in the deal.

The 28-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements following the arrival of Ademola Lookman from RB Leipzig and is set to join Nottingham Forest.
