Liverpool travel to Southampton with their hopes of remaining in the elite competition out of their hands. For Fulham, Sunday isn't a foregone conclusion as they look to avenge their results against United this season and break a club record.

"We will try to avenge the two games against them," Palhinha said. “I think it was two games that we could have won," the Portugal star told Fulham's official website. "The last game we had some players off the pitch, but before that we had played a really good game at Old Trafford. But even in the first match, it was a game where we showed until the final minute that we could have won.

"And I think this third game against them will be the same. It will be a tough game, of course, we will play in an amazing stadium with an amazing atmosphere, we all know that.

"We will face this game like a final, because we all want to break the record for the club, try to be the first Fulham team to catch these points," Palhinha continued. "We missed the opportunity last match, we drew, but now we face another opportunity, and the last opportunity, with the same ambition."
