Fulham in talks for £8m Bristol City winger Callum O'Dowda after Nottingham Forest and Leeds United end interest - reports

Fulham are in talks to sign Callum O'Dowda, according to reports.

Sky Sports claim that the Cottagers are currently unwilling to meet the £8m fee Bristol City are demanding for the winger, however.

O'Dowda appears likely to leave the Robins this summer, with one year left on his contract and currently no agreement over a new deal.

Nottingham Forest and Leeds United have both shown interest in the Republic of Ireland international, but it appears that both of those clubs are now a no go for the winger.

Forest have changed managers - their interest seemed to stem from former boss Martin O'Neill, who has managed O'Dowda at international level - whilst Leeds moved on to other targets, signing Helder Costa from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Yet the Cottagers are now interested in the player, although it remains to be seen whether a deal can be struck for him - especially with persistent links to unnamed Premier League clubs.

Fulham are looking to rebuild their squad following relegation from the Premier League and beat the Robins to the signing of Chelsea striker Martell Taylor-Crossdale over the weekend.
