Fulham confirmed XI vs Manchester City: Loftus-Cheek returns as Parker makes two changes

Scott Parker has named two changes to his starting XI for tonight's game against Manchester City at Craven Cottage as Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa return to the XI at the expense of Josh Maja and Bobby Decordova-Reid.

The West London side come into tonight's game 18th in the table but off the back of an impressive win at Anfield last Sunday and just one defeat in seven. With Brighton not in action until tomorrow and Newcastle United drawing against Aston Villa yesterday evening, a positive result tonight would pull the Lilywhites out of the bottom three.

City, however, are 14 points clear at the top of the table and in supreme form. While Parker believes Pep Guardiola is the best coach he has seen in his lifetime and considers tonight’s visitors the strongest team in Europe, the head coach is promising to go on the front foot whenever possible.

"There's no doubt we're going to suffer sometimes," he said. "We understand that when playing against the best team in Europe in terms of their coach, the technical ability they have, where they put the ball at the right time.

"There's going to be a constant battle or hard work. On the flip side, there's an opportunity for us to put a stamp on the game as well. We want to try and pose Man City problems where we can.

"They may be limited and it will be very difficult because of the quality they have, there's still a willingness for us to try and do it."

Fulham: Areola; Tete, Andersen, Adarabioyo, Aina; Lemina, Zambo Anguissa, Reed; Lookman, Loftus-Cheek, Cavaleiro.

Subs: Fabri, Hector, Ream, Kongolo, Bryan, Robinson, Onomah, Maja, Mitrovic.

Man City: Ederson, Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Laporte, Mendy, Rodrigo, Bernardo, Torres, Jesus, Aguero.

Subs: Steffen, Walker, Gundogan, Zinchenko, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Mahrez, Foden, Garcia.
