Fulham: Marco Silva teases Oscar Bobb debut date ahead of Manchester United trip

Marco Silva has confirmed that Oscar Bobb is unlikely to make his debut this weekend when Fulham travel to face Manchester United

The new £27million signing, who became Fulham’s second January addition earlier on Friday, has not yet fully recovered from a hamstring injury.

Bobb, who moves to Craven Cottage in search of minutes ahead of this summer’s World Cup, has not played in over a month and is not fit to travel to Old Trafford on Sunday.

Asked about the 22-year-old, Silva confirmed Bobb had trained with his new team-mates earlier on Friday, but facing United is “probably too soon” for the player.

He added: “He is in a good condition.”

Bobb becomes Fulham’s first signing of the January window and bolsters their attacking ranks following the departure of Adama Traore to West Ham.

"I'm very pleased," Silva said of Bobb's signing. "It is a very, very good move for us.

"Now it is up to us to make sure he is in the best physical condition he can be, because I'm sure he is going to be a very good signing for the football club."
