Fulham boss Scott Parker responds to Cyrus Christie Nottingham Forest link

Fulham boss Scott Parker has not dismissed rumours of Nottingham Forest's move for Cyrus Christie and says it would be "incorrect" to give any further update on the Reds' hope of landing the full-back.

Forest are reportedly lining up a swoop for the Fulham right-back with speculation mounting a deal is set to be announced before the weekend's clash against Cardiff City.

The Reds are looking to bolster their options in that position having sold Matty Cash to Aston Villa in the summer and are said to be keen on Christie to fill the void.

The 27-year-old played 31 games for Fulham last season as they won promotion to the Premier League and came on as a sub in their 2-1 win over Brentford in the Championship play-off final last month.

But when asked today, Parker would not be drawn on Christie's future with the player yet to appear for the Cottagers in the Premier League this season.

"I think Cyrus had a big impact last year," he said.

"At this moment in time I don't know where that is.

"It would be incorrect of me to give any detail of exactly what is happening at the moment, he's a Fulham player and training with us."

Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi also remained coy when asked about his interest in the former Coventry defender.

He said: “He is not a Forest player,” Lamouchi told NottinghamshireLive.

“We can mention rumours and a lot of players, but I can just talk about players who are at Forest.

“But it is a good name.”
