Fulham striker Aboubakar Kamara has been banned from the club’s training ground after being arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm and criminal damage on Monday.

Police were called to the Motspur Park training base in south London on Monday evening following reports of a fight.

After weeks of controversy, which started with the 23-year-old taking a penalty - which he missed - against Huddersfield over Aleksandar Mitrovic before the pair had to be separated following a bust-up during a yoga session, Kamara has been indefinitely banned from all club activity.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a training ground in New Malden, shortly after 17.00hrs on Monday, 21 January to reports of a fight.

“Officers attended. One man, in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of ABH and criminal damage.

“He has been taken into custody in a south London police station. Enquiries continue.”

Kamara had been training with the Fulham Under-23s since a fall out with manager Claudio Ranieri, who stated after the penalty incident that he "wanted to kill" the forward.

A Fulham statement read: “The Club is grateful for the swift attention and action by the Metropolitan Police immediately following our reporting of the incident on Monday.

“The subject who was arrested is banned indefinitely from Motspur Park and all club activities.

“We will refrain from further comment but will stress that we will fully cooperate with any new or continuing investigation or legal proceeding in the name of providing everyone a secure and safe working environment.”

Standard Sport understands Fulham are ready to offload Kamara to Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor before the end of the month.
