Forget toilet roll and pasta, petrol and diesel are the new must (panic) buy items for many people with long queues forming for petrol - and some filling stations running out of fuel.
The shortage of HGV drivers and initial closure of a couple of garages have caused havoc as many people ignored pleas not to panic buy and joined the nearest queue. Some petrol stations have even imposed a limit on the amount of fuel each person can buy.
And it looks like the problem may be here to stay for a while, as reports warn of another week of shortages and Labour leader Keir Starmer hit out against Boris Johnson for his 'lack of planning'.
