Drew Lock is going to be a first-round pick. He’s big, strong, athletic and has a rocket for an arm. Those guys rarely get past the first 32 picks, and it won’t happen at the 2019 NFL draft.
But we’ve seen plenty of quarterbacks with similar skill-sets fail in the NFL because their games lack the necessary polish to win from the pocket on a consistent basis while less talented prospects have gone onto have more successful careers because they do possess that polish.
