TALLAHASSEE, Fla. _ Video of a physical altercation involving Florida State kicker Ricky Aguayo, tight end Ryan Izzo and members of a school fraternity shut down after a death of one of its pledges was published by TMZ on Wednesday.
The video shows Aguayo in a fight with one person before several other men join the altercation, hitting the sophomore kicker. Izzo then appears in the video challenging the man who hit Aguayo to a fight before later pushing him into the ground several times.
News of the altercation involving the FSU players and the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity house was reported Tuesday by the Tallahassee Democrat after a police records request related to the fraternity, which was shut down by the university following the Nov. 3 death of 20-year-old pledge Andrew Coffey.
Aguayo told Tallahassee police he was "jumped" by members of the fraternity on Dec. 2, 2016, for missing two of three field goals after FSU's 31-13 victory over Florida.
Aguayo and Izzo were also named as suspects in a burglary at a neighboring fraternity house, Phi Sigma Kappa, two months after the December altercation, according to another report by the Democrat. Aguayo and Izzo were accused of smashing a coffee table and ripping a pet turtle in half.
No charges were filed in connection with either incident, according to the reports.
Florida State provided no comment when contacted by the Orlando Sentinel on Wednesday.
