FSU's Jimbo Fisher insists 'there's nothing wrong' with Dalvin Cook

Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher emphatically dismissed chatter surrounding star running back Dalvin Cook being injured during the start of his junior season.

"Everybody says it, but Dalvin is fine," Fisher said Monday. "There's nothing wrong with Dalvin."

Cook finished with just 62 yards of total offense, including 54 yards rushing on 16 carries in FSU's 63-20 loss at Louisville on Saturday.

Cook leads the Seminoles with 288 yards rushing through three games, but has only crossed the end zone twice _ both against Charleston Southern in Week 2.

He had a chance to score a receiving touchdown against Ole Miss, but simply dropped the football inside the 5-yard line missing on what could've been his first touchdown of the season.

Cook finished with 192 total yards, including 101 yards receiving, against Ole Miss, looking primed to lead the Seminoles in what could be his final season on campus.

However, Cook's tempered play in the last two games, and a clip from Showtime's "A Season With Florida State Football" series showing him getting a left ankle massage with his right shoulder heavily wrapped drew concern from fans on social media.

Cook played with a strained left hamstring and left ankle for the Seminoles in 2015. He also had shoulder surgery during the offseason.

Outside of normal "bumps and bruises" this season, Fisher insists Cook is "probably as healthy as he was a year ago when you get right down to it."
