FSU Karlos Williams alleged battery investigation ends, no charges filed

Nov. 12--FSU running back Karlos Williams' alleged battery investigation has concluded with no charges filed.

Williams was being investigated by the Tallahassee Police Department in connection with an incident involving his girlfriend. TPD announced Wednesday that it finished its investigation and released a report that stated the case was considered open/inactive.

Williams' girlfriend posted several pictures of bruises on her arm on her Facebook account in October, stating "Domestic violence is NEVER okay."

Tallahassee Police were informed of the social media post Oct. 25 by FSU general counsel Carolyn Egan, and released a statement Oct. 27 announcing that Williams was being investigated for domestic battery.

The alleged victim, according to police reports, declined to press charges or make any statements regarding the issue. She formally requested TPD to stop its investigation into the case on Oct. 29.

Williams spoke Tuesday for the first time since the investigation began.

"I have great teammates, great family," Williams said. "Try not to focus on those things, focus on school, things I can control, which is school and football.

Try to move on, try to move forward and progress in life. Things are going to happen, and I have to learn to roll with the punches and just keep moving forward."
