FSAI issues warning over popular chocolate sold in SuperValu and Tesco due to undeclared allergens

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued a warning on a batch of chocolate bars from the popular brand ‘Milka,’ which is sold in grocery stores nationwide.

According to their notice, the Milka Joghurt(Yoghurt) chocolate has not been labelled in English and contains a number of allergens.

Among the ingredients not listed in English are milk, soyabeans, nuts and hazelnuts.

Because these ingredients can cause an allergic reaction in some people, customers can return them to their point of purchase.

Any bars that are Milka Joghurt (Yoghurt) flavour and are 100g with a best before date of 01.02.22 are included in this notice.

In a statement, the FSAI wrote: “The above batch of Milka Joghurt(Yoghurt) Chocolate is being recalled as the ingredients are not labelled in English.

“The implicated batch contains milk, soyabeans and hazelnuts. The batch may also contain other nuts and wheat.

“This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of milk, nuts, soybeans, cereals containing containing gluten or their constituents.”
