Head coach Sabri Lamouchi did not hold back after his Nottingham Forest team were beaten 2-1 at Birmingham City.
After Tiago Silva’s opener, Lewis Grabban had a penalty saved, with Scott Hogan then quickly drawing the Blues level.
Kristian Pedersen bagged the winner in the second half, in the Championship.
Here’s what Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi had to say afterwards.
Were you left to rue that missed penalty?
“Yes, exactly.
“We are very disappointed.
“We started the game in the right way, we scored and we played well for the first half an hour.

“The penalty changed many things. If we score, we can close the game at 2-0.
“But we finished the first half 1-1, and the second goal was just unbelievable.
“I am because we gave them the three points.
“We gave them everything. It was an easy three points.”
Why do you think that was?
“I don’t know. Probably panic. Probably efficiency.
“We need to be stronger and not give anything away. If you give them something, it’s finished.
“We just have to keep working hard and keep going.
“The season is so long, so far and so difficult. Every week there is a surprise.
“Probably today was a surprise for many people, but it was just our fault.”

Did you get bullied in the second half?
“We were bullied in the first half.
“We deserved to close out the game.
“We need more character to close out the game, because it was in our hands, but we gave them everything.
“We controlled the game until the penalty. After that, it was finished.”
How can the performance go from like it was in the first 40 minutes to how it was in the second half?
“Good question, but I don’t have the answer now.
“We need to show consistency. We need to show character and we need to show personality.
“Tonight, it was clear, we played without that.”

You seem as annoyed as you’ve been all season?
“It is the first time we were so naive and sometimes stupid.
“We can’t give this game away.
“It is just our fault.
“When we start the game like that, with a great goal, we need to close the game. If not, don’t give anything away.
“Because what we are playing for this year is very important - not just for me and for them (the players), but for more than the club.
“We are working for that. We are lucky to do our job with passion.
“But you also need to give more than your heart; you have to be clever. Tonight, we were not clever.
“We deserved to win the game, but we lost.
“Congratulations to Birmingham. I don’t have anything to say about them or the referee; it is our fault.
“It was just our fault. A big fault.”
