'Frustrated' - Nottingham Forest video verdict after QPR draw

It was a frustrating afternoon at the City Ground for the majority of fans attending Nottingham Forest vs QPR.

While the away following left happy with their point following a shutdown performance, Forest fans aimed jeers at the referee for disallowing an opening goal.

Joe Worrall took flight to claim a Joe Lolley corner, and headed well into the net to give the Reds a thumping lead. Fans cheered, players hugged - but QPR cottoned on to the fact that all was not well.

As Forest walked back to their own half, QPR resumed defensive positions for the corner. The referee blew for the whistle and demanded that the corner be retaken.

Why? Well - the gusts had taken the ball towards Lolley, rolling it into the quadrant as he planted his standing leg to swing at the ball. It moved, and the resulting goal was ruled out.

It was a confusing situation in the stadium, and Forest didn't truly recover as QPR held their ranks to deny the Reds opportunities on goal.

Lolley came close in the dying seconds, but it simply wasn't to be.

In the video player at the top of the page, you can watch the full verdict from Nottingham Forest club writer Sarah Clapson following a 0-0 draw at the City Ground.
