Frozen food firm signs 10-year lease at Glasgow Airport unit

Frozen food and ice cream wholesaler Eden Farm has agreed a 10-year lease on Unit B at Air Cargo Centre on Arran Avenue, Paisley.

The newly refurbished 10,976 sq ft unit next to Glasgow Airport includes new ground and first floor accommodation along with windows. It is close to junction 28 of the M8.

Ross Sinclair, director for letting agent Savills, said: “We are pleased to secure Unit B at Air Cargo Centre for Eden Farm to support the significant growth they have experienced. Well located warehouses close to infrastructure hubs continue to attract strong demand.”

Eden Farm is based in Peterlee, County Durham, and has depots across England. Group transport manager Jason Brooksbank said: “The new Glasgow site sits in a geographically strategic location for us, to continue to offer and improve our daily delivery service. It will also allow us to operate the warehouse throughout the night, which is a significant operational benefit.”

Air Cargo Centre was developed in the early 2000s. In February, it was bought by AIM-listed investment fund Warehouse REIT for more than £11 million from London-based Airport Industrial Nominees. The building is sub-divided into two terraces comprising eight units, one of which remains unleased. Other occupiers include PJH, Avec, Alpha LSG, Nippon Express and Saints.
