Frost weather forecast ahead with temperature dropping as low as two degrees in Glasgow

We may be approaching June - but the weather is anything but summery in Glasgow this week.

The Met Office forecast shows a bleak picture right up to the weekend, starting tonight when things are set to get chilly.

The prediction is a dry but cold one with long clear spells and “a touch of frost possible” as the city faces minimum temperatures of just two degrees. Brilliant.

It’s followed by a cold, wet day tomorrow (Wednesday) with a chilly start and outbreaks of rain rolling in from midday - followed by more heavy rain on Thursday and Friday.

The weekend looks just a little bit brighter (and we mean a little bit) with highs of 16C, a bit of sunshine and a bit of rain.

Still, you could be forgiven for asking where our summer went as we say goodbye to the May towards the end of the week.

Fingers crossed for June - and perhaps an excuse to get the heating back on tonight …
