Frost to speak at Jameson memorial

A timely reminder: the memorial service for Derek Jameson will be held at St Bride's church this Wednesday – the day before what would have been his 83rd birthday. It begins at 11.30.

Sir David Frost will read a passage from one of Derek's autobiographies, Touched By Angels, about his first day as a Fleet Street reporter.

Tim Blackmore, now chief executive of Unique Broadcasting, will deliver a eulogy. It was Tim who produced Derek's Radio 2 show in the 1980s. One of Derek's sons, Daniel, will also deliver a eulogy.

All friends and former colleagues are invited to the memorial for the man who edited the Daily Express, Daily Star and News of the World.
