A choir formed of key workers reduced Britain's Got Talent viewers, judges and participants to tears on Saturday (May 7) as their emotional performance touched the hearts of many. Appearing on the latest episode of the show this weekend the group of key workers took to the stage in attempt to impress the judges - but they did a lot more that - as they also blew away thousands of people in the process.
The song opened with the emotive line: "We never know what life will throw our way", and after those few simple words were sung the audience were totally captivated and loved them from the second they started performing. Various people who work on the frontline formed the choir from nurses to police officers, and it was just a totally lovely moment.
All four judges were seen smiling as they performed, with Simon Cowell also spotted to be beaming with pride as they sang, before giving the performance a standing ovation. Ant and Dec were seen teary-eyed at the end of the performance, while Amanda's voice was heard wobbling as she sang the group's praise.
After over two very strange years following the coronavirus pandemic, the choir really showed how powerful it can be when people come together. In true Britain's Got Talent style the audition left us all feeling quite emotional.
One Twitter viewer said: "That's the winner there #bgt #BritainsGotTalent frontline workers," while another said: "I'm not crying you are the front line singers WOW."
A third added: "Not a dry eye in this house you are truly amazing. Thank you to every front line worker out there."
