From Standard Silhouettes to Fresh Forms, the T-Shirt Dress Is the Hero Product of Summer

The humble T-shirt is a year-round staple. Sure, it may see the sun more in spring and summer, but it makes for a great layering device in fall and winter. T-shirt dresses, however, are more seasonally-based, appearing mainly in summer when baring legs and arms is a requirement. There's actually a surprising amount of variety in the category so we sorted through hundreds of options to find the crème de la crème.

The old-school style still has a lot going for it. It's easy and breezy since you simply slip it on and go. The dresses range from slightly fitted with defined waists to more voluminous for extra comfort. Most of the time, solid hues and vertical stripes take the lead.
