From Mount to Pulisic: Where and when Chelsea's 31 international stars are in action

Chelsea will be well represented during the first international break of the 2019/2020 season.

Having won just once in five, the pause in the campaign might have come at the right time for Frank Lampard's side as this allows him to nurse a number of players back to full fitness.

Luckily for the new Blues head coach, N'Golo Kante has been excused from international duty, but Mateo Kovacic has had to withdraw because of an Achilles problem.

With that said, there's still 10 first-team players who will be away from Cobham over the next week as well as many talented youngsters and those out on loan for the season.

Kepa Arrizabalaga - Spain

Kepa is yet to keep a clean sheet in five games across all competitions so far this season and will be looking to put that right whilst on international duty.

He's been called into the Spain squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers against Romania on Thursday and vs the Faroe Islands on Sunday.

Andreas Christensen - Denmark

Dropped in favour of Fikayo Tomori against Sheffield United at the weekend, Christensen will be looking for game time during the international break.

Denmark are too in Euro 2020 action, facing Gibraltar and Georgia.

Jorginho and Emerson - Italy

Italy have a perfect record in their Euro 2020 qualification group after four games.

Jorginho and Emerson will look to help maintain that 100 per cent start when the 2012 finalists take on Armenia and Finland.

Ross Barkley and Mason Mount - England

There could be a senior international debut for Mount, while Barkley will look to keep up his impressive form in Euro 2020 qualification.

The Three Lions are in action against Bulgaria and Kosovo.

Olivier Giroud and Kurt Zouma - France

The World Champions are having somewhat of an injury crisis at the moment with Kante, Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele and Paul Pogba all ruled out.

Giroud and Zouma have been selected by Didier Deschamps for Euro 2020 qualifiers against Albania and Andorra.

Christian Pulisic - USA

No competitive action for the winger during this international break.

The USA face Mexico and Uruguay in friendlies.

Michy Batshuayi - Belgium

Despite not getting much of a look in under Lampard so far this season, the striker - who had two loan spells away from Stamford Bridge last term - remains in Roberto Martinez's plans.

Belgium are preparing for a Euro 2020 qualification double header against San Marino this Friday and Scotland next Monday.

There are 19 youngsters also on international duty at Under-21, Under-20, Under-19 and Under-18 level including the likes of Armando Broja, Marc Guehi, Trevoh Chalobah, Ian Maatsen and Billy Gilmour.

The midfielder - on loan at Atalanta - is in the Croatia squad for games against Slovakia and Azerbaijan.

The youngster who is on loan at RB Leipzig is in the Wales squad for Euro 2020 qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Belarus.
