From Love Island runner-up to her own billboard in Times Square - how Molly-Mae Hague is 'winning'

She came runner-up on the hit dating show Love Island, but Molly-Mae Hague is undoubtedly 'winning.'

Five weeks after the Love Island experience ended, the social media influencer has flown Stateside for New York Fashion Week after being unveiled as the new face of Manchester-based global fashion brand PrettyLittleThing.

And she was thrilled to see herself on billboards in Times Square.

"That’s me.... on a billboard... in Times Square..." she told her 3.3million followers on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself standing in front of her PLT ad campaign which was shot in Los Angeles.

Molly-Mae, who found love on Love Island with Manchester boxer Tommy Fury, looked stunning as she strutted through the iconic Manhattan landmark in a black PrettyLittleThing polo neck jumper teamed with smart trousers and a blazer, her blonde hair pulled back into a high ponytail.

And the congratulations came pouring in.

"Literally INSANE," messaged her fellow Islander Maura Higgins.

"Congrats girl," said The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Taylor Ward.

And her sister Darby praised: "Killing it."

"Molly Mae should have won the show even tho she is winning," said one impressed fan.

Molly-Mae and Tommy were pipped to the post after eight weeks on Love Island by Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea, who have since split after winning the £50,000 cash prize.

Molly-Mae has also been announced as the new face of Manchester fashion brand PrettyLittleThing (Molly-Mae Hague Instagram and PrettyLittleThing)

Molly-Mae, who turned 20 during her time on the show, grew up in Hertfordshire but was drawn to Manchester for work.

She told the Manchester Evening News previously: "I was an influencer before Love Island and this is very much where it's happening influencing.

"It's very much where all the fast fashion brands are based, the locations here for pictures are great and I lot of my friends live up here and I wanted to start afresh.

"In wanted an apartment where I was proud to bring friends home to and I think in London I couldn't afford something that was a nice apartment. London is so expensive.

"In Manchester you can get a bit more for your money. I love it up here."

She says having her own PLT collection is "absolutely a dream come true" because she studied fashion for two years in London before becoming an influencer.

"I've had a very, very large input in the collection and I went to PLT with a very strong idea of what I wanted," she said.
