From Kate Ferdinand to Amanda Holden - stars who jetted abroad as countries taken off green list

As temperatures across the UK rocketed, some celebs still chose to hit foreign shores - with many jetting to Portugal for some much needed sunshine.

Kate Kane looked summer-ready as she hit the beach, while Amanda Holden went for a minimalistic look in a white bikini and matching kaftan.

Amanda added some tinted sunglasses to complete her look, while styling her hair in a straight style.

She did not disclose her location, making it a mystery to her fans as to where she is, but fans believed her to be in Portugal.

"...Feeling ‘all white’ today," she penned, with a laughing face.

Meanwhile, the Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley posed with pregnant pal Georgina Cleverley as they hit the beach.

Katie Ferdinand also went to Portugal for some family time, while Billie Faiers looked glamorous for a day on the water.

Last night Kate posted a loving pic with hubby Rio.

Glamorous as ever, Kate opted for a black and brown patterned bikini top and dark high-waisted trousers combination.

Commenting on the shots, Love Island ’s Megan Barton Hanson wrote: “Wooooww,” alongside two fire emojis.

Fellow TOWIE star Lydia Bright simply added “WOW” and a burning fire emoji.

I'm A Celeb star Jacqueline Jossa was also enjoying the sunshine in Portugal.

Not only was she relaxing by the pool, the star made sure to get in a photo shoot or two for her In The Style collection.

She took to her Instagram to share several new swimsuits, telling fans she initially 'dreaded' doing the gorgeous shoot.

The stars have had their holidays plunged into jeopardy just days into their sun-trap getaways.

Portugal will now be moved to the amber travel list where Brits returning from the sunny country will have to quarantine for up to 10 days upon their return.

Originally on the green list, British citizens didn't have to self-isolate on their return from making the most of the Portuguese sunshine.

Travellers will have to rush to find flights back home before the rules change at 4am on Tuesday.

The Transport Secretary also changed the rules on several countries with high infection rates, moving seven places - including Sri Lanka and Egypt - from amber to red list.

The announcement comes after hopes that the most popular Spanish and Greek islands could be added to the green list were dropped.
