The sun is shining, the temperature is rising and we're getting dangerously close to 'taps aff' weather once more - it feels like it's been a particularly long and hard wait for some glorious Glasgow spring days this time round.
Of course, no sunny and (relatively) warm afternoon in our city is complete without a mate telling you they're off to the supermarket to get the last of the disposable BBQs, the application of factor 10 sun lotion that doesn't withstand 12C and the threat of a dip in the sea at Troon beach.
And on beautiful days like these, Glaswegians always seem to develop quite the sweet tooth. There'll no doubt be queues for the ice cream van snaking around parks this afternoon as folk wait patiently for a Flake 99.
Yet with dozens of eyecatching dessert shops on our doorsteps these days too, we're spoiled for choice when it comes to treating ourselves to an ice cream cone or something a little more extravagant.
In recent months, one particular dessert spot has caught our eye. FRKN Delicious opened up on Clarence Drive at the end of last year and has already had westenders lining up outside for sugar-filled goodness, come rain, hail or shine.
So, in a bid to find out what all the fuss is about, we took a trip there in the sunshine to give three of their most popular menu items a go - Creme Egg crepes, Feed the Hippo waffles and Twix sundaes. These won't do your waistband any good, we admit, but with the concoction of all these sweet ingredients, it's pretty hard to resist.
