A Fire and Rescue NSW crew from Wyoming on the Central Coast has been caught in a firestorm while fighting fires on the NSW South Coast.

The crew recorded this video that shows the harrowing moment its truck was caught in a bushfire front burning south of Nowra at 3pm on New Year's Eve.

"The crew was forced to shelter in their truck as the fire-front passed through. The crew are okay," Fire and Rescue said on Facebook.
