Frightened feline's lucky Dublin Fire Brigade rescue after 24 hour fright

A frightened feline had a lucky escape yesterday after being rescued by Dublin Fire Brigade.

Firefighters from the Tallaght station responded to a call from DSPCA after the trapped cat was reported to be stuck up a very high and unsafe tree.

The curious cat was in the perilous position for over 24 hours but thankfully now it has been brought back to safety.

Dublin Fire Brigade shared brilliant images from the rescue of the lovely black and white cat, including a shot of just how dangerous and high the area it got stuck in was.

They said: "Firefighters from Tallaght rescued a frightened feline from a ferocious tree this afternoon. Reported to the DSPCA, the crew responded following a request from one of the society's inspectors. The cat was in precarious position for over 24 hours."

The feline was thankfully cared for by the DSPCA after being rescued.
