Friends support radio DJ Marty Guilfoyle after 'horrible' online comments over TikTok house

Friends of Marty Guilfoyle have defended the well-known radio DJ after "horrible comments" surfaced online.

The Spin radio presenter and successful commercial DJ this week joined Ireland's first TikTok house called the "GOAT house".

The influencer house in South Dublin has been widely discussed with many people poking fun at the 10 content creators including Mr Guilfoyle.

And now friends and colleagues of the "Me & You" DJ have blasted back asking people to be kinder.

Fellow radio man Luke O'Faolain said on Twitter: "Seeing some absolutely horrible tweets about my friend. There's a difference between friendly slagging and what's currently being said about Martin Guilfoyle. Cop yourselves on, be kind."

Adam Redmond said: "The backlash on Twitter for the Goathouse being set up is a strange one, and the abuse for Marty Guilfoyle is poor form.

"How can people not understand that making videos and content is a job in itself? It’s a cracking business opportunity for every single person in the house."

Fionnuala Moran added: "Marty Guilfoyle is a lovely human. Whatever your views about the Goat House leave the defamatory tweets in your drafts."

The GOAT house only began this week but has already been creating a lot of noise on social media.
