Ross Geller and Rachel Green will forever be one of television's most iconic couples, but it seems there was almost a romance offscreen as well.
Friends : The Reunion is finally available to watch and one little revelation may stun fans just a little bit when the realise what was going on behind-the-scenes.
During the one off special, James Corden chats to Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer about the sitcom and how it changed their lives.
At one point, the Gavin and Stacey star said he found it hard to believe that there weren’t any off-screen romances between them.

Jennifer looked a little coy as she grinned and said: "Well, errrr I mean, David…" before passing the comment to him.
"The first season, we… I had a major crush on Jen," the 54-year-old actor admitted as Jennifer butted in: "It was reciprocated!"
David continued: "And at some point we were both crushing hard on each other but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary, we respected that..." before Matt shouted: "Bulls**t!"

James looked stunned at Matt's comment and the rest of the cast laughed as he added: "I’m kidding!"
Jennifer then recalled: "I just remember honestly saying one time to David, ‘it’s gonna be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is gonna be on national television'... sure enough first time we kissed was in that coffee shop!"
The 52-year-old actress continued: "So we just channelled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel."
Jennifer and David also reenacted their memorable first kiss - they didn't actually kiss this time around, but read their lines instead.

"How did everyone not know we were crushing on each other?" David asked his co-stars as old footage of him and Jennifer played onscreen.
"We knew for sure!" they all admitted as Jennifer and David laughed.
All six of them were also in agreement that Ross and Rachel "were on a break" when he infamously cheated on her.
