Friends Reunion viewers slam 'kill joy' James Corden for 'ruining' show

Viewers tuning into Friends: The Reunion Special were not impressed with James Corden's hosting duties as they watched it on Thursday evening.

The highly-anticipated one-off finally aired on Sky One, but fans weren't exactly thrilled to see the British star making an appearance.

The reunion was a mix of the cast talking to James, with them also visiting the set and reenacting memorable scenes from the hit sitcom.

Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Courtney Cox finally came together to give the fans what they want - and they did not disappoint.

The stars not only reminisced about some of their favourite scenes, they also spilled some behind-the-scenes secrets and spoke about where they think there characters would be now.

James was lucky enough to quiz the group of six about how their lives changed due to the success of Friends and also asked if there had been any off screen romances.

Taking to Twitter, many people slammed James' hosting abilities with one person writing: "I came here to watch Friends.. Not James Corden and Friends.. #FriendsReunion."

A second posted: "Was adoring The (Friends) Reunion and getting excited for the main bulk of the show then its ruined by James bloody Corden!!!!"

A third moaned: "Sitting down to watch the friends reunion. If there was any way to make me uninterested in watching its adding james Corden as the host.... dear god why."

And a fourth tweeted: "Was getting a bit emotional and nostalgic watching the beginning of the #FriendsReunion and then bloody James Corden appeared and killed the joy."

A fifth viewer added: "Loved #FriendsReunion only wish James Corden wasn't hosting. When he asked about if there was any hook ups....like nah."

However, many others tuning in were absolutely loving it, with one saying: "I think that is the best thing I have watched #FriendsReunion."
