Friends reunion! Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow reunited in Central Perk

Courteney Cox had a little help from her friend as she launched her Instagram page.

Ellen Degeneres set up an impromptu Friends reunion with Cox and her former co-star Lisa Kudrow – complete with the famous sofa from Central Perk.

Cox joined Degeneres on her show, which saw the set transformed into the iconic coffee shop from the cult series.

Gunther, who worked at Central Perk, wasn’t there – but Kudrow, aka Phoebe Buffay, was, much to the delight of the audience.

The trio cosied up on the sofa to pose for Cox’s first ever Instragram post, which she later shared alongside the caption: “Hello Instagram! I’m here with a little help from my friends.”

Making a nod to Phoebe's guitar playing, Degeneres said: “I wish you had your guitar here that would be fun.”

Kudrow replied: “It would. But who would play it?”

Cox followed up her debut with a Boomerang of herself and Kudrow walking into the artist entrance to the Ellen Show. She captioned the clip: “Love this girl.”

The post comes weeks after Cox, who played Monica Geller, enjoyed an impromptu reunion with Tom Selleck, who played Dr Richard Burke, in New York.

The couple shared a sweet romance before Monica moved on with Chandler Bing on the show.

Fans of the 90s hit have been calling for a Friends reunion since the show ended in 2004.

Jennifer Aniston, who played Rachel Green, said the male stars Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry aren't keen on repising their roles as Joey Tribbiani, Ross Geller and Chandler Bing.

Speaking on The Late Late Show she said: “Listen, the girls always say we would love to do it again, and the boys are a little less excited about it for some reason – I don’t know.”
