Friends Reunion 'coming to Sky' as UK fans prepare for long-awaited special

The hit 90s comedy series Friends has returned in the form of an HBO Max Special reunion and Sky could be securing the rights to air it in the UK.

While the reunion show will be airing on HBO Max from May 27, there is still no set date for fans in the UK.

According to Deadline, Sky has a close connection with WarnerMedia as a result of a long-running output deal with the US media giant.

Their deals give Sky rights to many HBO originals, but not shows commissioned by HBO Max, so the company still has to strike a deal.

Friends were recently sent into a frenzy thanks to a brand new teaser for the upcoming reunion special.

In the trailer, Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston), Monica Geller (Courteney Cox), Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow), Joey Tribbiani (Matt Le Blanc), Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry), and Ross Geller (David Schwimmer), can be seen walking side by side from behind in a dimly lit street, with a piano version of the theme tune playing.

The text then read: "The one where they get back together."

HBO then shared a tweet with details of all the guest appearances and it's the most random mix you can imagine.

Joining the fun-loving cast will be global stars such as BTS, Justin Bieber, David Beckham and Lady Gaga.

Many memorable Friends supporting actors will return so there's no need to worry yet.

James Corden, Cara Delevingne and Kit Harington will also play a part in what has been described as "a real-life unscripted celebration of the beloved show".

Fans will be excited to see Larry Hankin's Mr. Heckles, a.k.a. The Weird Man who lived in the apartment below the iconic Friends apartment also back on our screens.

And yes, the one and only Gunther (James Michael Tyler) will be involved in the reunion.
