Friends of tragic young mum Ruth Maguire have launched a fundraising page to support her family in the wake of her death.
The 30-year-old died after going missing on a hen night in Carlingford, Co Louth and was laid to rest in her native Belfast on Saturday.
At her funeral in the St Vincent de Paul Church in Ligoniel, the priest said: “Ruth was slow to take offence and quick to forgive, she realised that life is too short", Belfast Live reports.
“Family was at the heart of Ruth’s life, and Ruth and Jim were due to receive the sacrament of marriage this year, my prayer is that the grace you were due to receive that day, will come to you today Jim and sustain you in the future.”
Friends are trying to raise money to help Ruth’s partner Jim and their children Tyler, Lydia and Oliver.
