(Picture: HBO Max)Lady Gaga made a special guest appearance as the long-awaited Friends Reunion finally aired — with stars Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer revealing they almost had a real-life romance.
Seated in the Central Perk coffee house, the pop star joined Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe, for a rendition of Smelly Cat. Kudrow, having slipped into character, muttered: “Still think it’s better when it’s just me.”
Gaga agreed and thanked her for being “the different one” on the show.
Filmed on the show’s set at the Warner Bros studios in Burbank, it was the first time the cast have been together on screen since 2004.
Schwimmer, who played Ross in the sitcom, said he had “a major crush” on Aniston in the early years, adding: “I think we both, at some point, were crushing hard on each other but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.”
The reunion show, which is being streamed on Now TV and shown on Sky One today, featured appearances from other famous fans including Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, Game Of Thrones star Kit Harington and David Beckham.
