Friends from College: Netflix comedy cancelled after two seasons

Barbara Nitke/Netflix

Netflix‘s Friends From College has been cancelled after two seasons.

The show co-creator, Nicholas Stoller, took to Twitter to announce the news, writing: “Friends from College will not be returning for a third season. Thanks to everyone who watched it. Happy Presidents’ Day!”

In a statement, Netflix added: “We’re grateful to creators Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco for creating a wise, funny and supremely relatable show.”

“We also want to thank the hard-working crew, and we raise a glass to the amazingly talented cast including Keegan-Michael Key, Fred Savage, Cobie Smulders, Nat Faxon, Annie Parisse, Jae Suh Park and Billy Eichner.”

The series follows the misadventures of a close-knit group of Harvard alumni in their 40s as their lives intertwine – sometimes romantically – in New York City.

It sets out as a comedic exploration of old friendships, former romantic relationships, and the balance of adult responsibilities with a nostalgia for the past.
