Friends fans can take part in massive quiz tonight - to help raise money for NHS

Do you know everything there is to know about Friends?

If you consider yourself the ultimate fan of the hit 90s sitcom then you won't want to miss this.

A virtual Friends quiz is taking place tonight (March 27) online, streaming on Facebook Live and YouTube from 7.30pm.

The quiz, organised by Laura Jones and her company Eventures, is expected to last around an hour and a half, with 80 questions spread out over eight rounds, with two non-question rounds in between as well.

Over 140,000 people have already registered their interest in the event, with each asked to donate £2 to a JustGiving page.

All proceeds are set to be given to the NHS to thank them for their hard work during the coronavirus pandemic.

Those wishing to take part are asked to like the Facebook page and donate to the cause by 5pm this evening.

The event listing reads: "Oh. My. God.

"We are on lockdown and times like these require us all to stick together and have fun and we want to help!

"This is the quiz that’s guaranteed to find the biggest Friends fan. The One With The Virtual Quiz is an evening of getting more competitive than Ross and Monica at Thanksgiving.

"We have a great evening of entertainment on Friday night, answering questions about F.R.I.E.N.D.S, ensuring that we stay indoors to look after one another and help our NHS.

"However, with this growing platform, we can help the NHS even more. Therefore, as entry to this quiz, I ask that you donate £2 (£2 is the minimum donation amount on JustGiving) and all proceeds will be donated to the NHS to help in this difficult time."

Laura went on to encourage everyone to get their pen and paper ready, explaining: "At 7.30pm on Friday night, Hugsy and I will go live on our Facebook page and YouTube. There will be 80 questions, in eight rounds of 10, giving the answers out after each round."

She continued to suggest everyone play along with their friends or family, as a way to make it more fun and determine a winner - as she has no way to do it herself.

"Grab yourselves a drink, snacks and get everyone together on Facetime, Whatsapp video call, or any other platform and have a mini competition between yourselves. Just because I can't make it competitive due to numbers, doesn't mean you can't have a competition – but will you take it as seriously as Monica and Ross," she added.

The Just Giving page has already raised over £15,000 for the NHS and more donations are pouring in.
