Friends’ fans can now build the Central Perk out of Lego bricks

LEGO has announced the release of a special edition set which recreates the iconic cafe TV set from Friends.

The toy building-block company revealed a sneak-peek of the upcoming sitcom Legos on Twitter with a short video.

In the clip, LEGO figurines of Phoebe, Ross, Chandler, Monica, Rachel, and Joey can be seen sitting on the iconic orange couch in front of the fountain recognizable from the sitcom's theme song.

Just launched today, the new  1070-piece LEGO Friends kit  comes with seven mini-figures of Ross Geller, Rachel Green, Phoebe Buffay, Monica Geller, Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing and the hugely underrated café owner Gunther.

Alongside all the stars of the show, there's the iconic Central Perk setting the cast spent ten seasons sitting in, complete with bright orange sofa, plus all the accessories such as a newspaper, 15 coffee mugs, Phoebe’s guitar and even Joey’s famous ‘man bag’.

Sadly, the impressive nostalgia doesn't come cheap, setting you back a hefty £64.99 and available from both  the LEGO website and  John Lewis  from today.

The Friends-inspired LEGO set marks 25 years since the show originally aired, and has already caught the attention of the cast itself, with Matthew Perry tweeting about the collection when it was first announced earlier this month, the Mirror reports.

Whether you want to reenact old scenes or make up new moments with the cast, there's a nice additional touch of two stage lights in the corner too, so the setting is both the coffee shop and the stage they filmed on.

There's no word on whether any other famous Friend's locations and cast members will soon follow - we're petitioning for a huge thanksgiving turkey to put over Monica's head, Joey and Chandler's Barcalounger leather chairs and the white dog statue.

Although anything is possible, with the set itself starting as a fan creation as part of the Lego Ideas range, where anyone can create a model and then send it into the Lego Ideas website for people to vote on it.

Now the only decision is whether or not to let our little ones ever go near it...
