Friends creator reveals joke she really regrets and Brad Pitt error

Monica, Chandler, Ross, Rachel, Joey and Phoebe's witty comments, cheeky jokes and sarcasm gave us hours and hours of laughs.

The clever storylines managed to have us giggling even through some of the show's most moving moments.

But there is one joke the show's co-creator really regrets - and admits they didn't use the "appropriate terms", the Mirror reports .

Channel 4 on the hunt for new TV talent in Northern Ireland

Speaking to  USA Today  , Marta Kauffman, who created the show with David Crane, said she would do the scenes involving Chandler's dad differently if she were to remake the show today.

She said: "I think we didn’t have the knowledge about transgender people back then, so I’m not sure if we used the appropriate terms. I don’t know if I would have known those terms back then. I think that’s the biggest one."

She also has an issue with the Thanksgiving special which Jennifer Aniston then partner Brad Pitt made a guest appearance in.

He played Monia's old school pal Will Colbert, who like her has lost lots of weight since they were teens.

But a very awkward dinner reveals that Will hated Rachel at school, and even started an 'I Hate Rachel Green' club (co-founded by Ross) and started a rumour about her.

She said: "I might have not done the hermaphrodite stuff today if I had that to do over in the one with Brad Pitt.

"It really is a period piece."

Who is 'H' in Line of Duty? Real life undercover cop reveals his theory

During the interview, which celebrates the anniversary of the finale, she said her favourite joke it the "moo point".

She also admits that she teared up and got "pretty emotional" when Rachel tells Ross she got off the plane - finally drawing the Ross and Rachel 'will they, won't they' to an end - just like the rest of us.

After ten years, the final episode of Friends aired on May 6, 2004.
