Friends cast to star in one-off reunion special for HBO

The cast of Friends are expected to get together for a reunion special.

Could we BE more excited!?

To celebrate 25 years since the iconic series launched, the six stars will reportedly appear in the hour-long special to help launch the upcoming streaming service HBO Max.

It is thought Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc are each pocketing a cool $3-4million each by Warner Brothers.

According to Deadline, the decision came after a tough back-and-forth between the cast’s representatives, WBTV and HBO Max last.

Negotiations are thought to have broken down towards to end of last year over cash.

The one-off show is designed to help launch re-runs of the show on the new American channel, with the streamer forking out $425m for the rights.

It is unclear what format the show will be in at the moment.

It comes after the cast sent fans wild when Jennifer Aniston uploaded a group selfie onto Instagram in October 2019.

Since then, Friends fandom has been sent into overdrive with rumours circulating something special is in the works.
