The man who was tragically killed in a crash in West Dublin has been named locally as Karl Bermingham.
Tributes have been pouring in for the young dad who was killed after a single vehicle crash in Ballyfermot on Saturday morning.
Family and friends say they've been left "shattered" by the news of Karl's death
Karl, who was affectionately known by many as 'Bee', was a keen bike and horse lover and was very well known in the Ballyfermot area.
One heartbroken pal said: "Rest in paradise Karl you were one of a kind pal."
Another said: "Can't believe it Bee you were a great mate. Absolutely devastated I am.
"May heaven be your bed tonight my dear friend RIP Karl Bermingham.
"Thinking of all the family at this horrible time."
Flowers were laid down at the scene on Lough Conn Road while candles were lit over Saturday night to pay tribute.
Gardai have made an appeal for any potential witnesses to come forward and contact them at Ballyfermot Station.
A spokesman said: "This morning Saturday 21st December 2019 at approximately 6.30am, Gardaí were called to the scene of a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on the Lough Conn Road, Ballyfermot Dublin 10.
"The driver and sole occupant of the car, a male in his early 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to the City Morgue where a post mortem will be completed at a later date.
"Forensic Collision Investigators have examined the scene. The road has since re-opened.
