More than 100 people gathered outside the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Huntstown Dublin for the funeral of George Nkencho on Saturday morning.
The young man was shot dead by gardai in west Dublin on December 30.
The funeral at the Sacred Heart Church was attended by just ten people in accordance with Covid-19 restrictions.
But a crowd of more than 100 friends and neighbours gathered outside, some holding posters in memory of Mr. Nkencho.
The shocking incident is being investigated by the Garda Ombudsman (GSOC), but Mr Nkencho’s family are now calling for a full public inquiry instead.
