Friendly young dog's home appeal

A friendly young dog is looking for a new place to call home.

Animal welfare experts are appealing to find a new home for Ghost, a two-year-old Akita cross Husky, who is currently living at Dogs Trust’s West Calder Rehoming Centre.

His carers say he is a happy and friendly boy who loves spending time in the great outdoors with his favourite people.

A spokesperson for Dogs Trust said: “He enjoys playing with his toys, splashing about in a paddling pool and sunbathing in the garden.

“Ghost is looking to live in a quiet, adult-only household and even though he likes to meet doggy friends outside, he would prefer to be the only pet in the home.

“He needs a strong, active owner who is very knowledgeable about the breed. He is easily excited and does need an owner who is happy to continue his training.

“Ghost is house-trained, can be left for short periods of time and travels well in the car. He is a handsome boy who adores attention and being groomed to keep him looking at his best.”

If you think you could provide the perfect home for Ghost, or any of the other 50 dogs currently available for rehoming, please contact the centre on 01506 873459.

You can also follow Dogs Trust West Calder on Twitter @DT_WestCalder for regular updates on events and dogs available for rehoming.

Please look at the Dogs Trust website for access during the coronavirus outbreak.
