Friendly Ruby's new home appeal

An affectionate pooch is looking for a new place to call home.

Animal welfare experts are appealing to find a new home for Ruby a 10-year-old Border Collie who is currently living at Dogs Trust West Calder Rehoming Centre.

And her carers say she loves nothing more than being with people she likes, getting lots of cuddles or having a belly rub.

A spokesperson for Dogs Trust said: “Ruby is very loving and affectionate and although she is 10, she is still super playful and full of fun, her favourite game is chasing after her ball and then catching it!

“She would like an owner who has previously owned collie types before.

“Ruby does not like other dogs and would need to be walked in quiet rural areas and to be the only pet in the house. She would love her own secure garden where she can spend time off her lead playing or chilling with her family.

“Ruby is looking for an adult-only home and does prefer a peaceful life where she can enjoy her owners’ company.

“She is a real foodie and is always happy to show off her tricks for some tasty chicken. Ruby is house-trained, happy to be left alone for short periods of time and does enjoy going for on adventures in the car.”

If you think you can offer Ruby or any of the other 50 dogs currently available for rehoming please contact the centre on 01506 873459.

You can also follow Dogs Trust West Calder on Twitter @DT_WestCalder for regular updates on events and dogs available for rehoming. Please look at the Dogs Trust website for access during the coronavirus outbreak.
