Animal welfare experts are appealing to find a new home for Ellie, an Alaskan Malamute, who is currently living at Dogs Trust’s West Calder Rehoming Centre.
Ellie is eight years old and likes to be with people, getting plenty of cuddles and attention.
A spokesperson for Dogs Trust: “This friendly girl loves to spend her time in the great outdoors and would love her own garden where she can spend some time off her lead relaxing with her family. She is housetrained, will happily jump into the car and she can be left at home for a couple of hours. Ellie is looking for an adult-only home with new owners who have previous experience with similar dogs. While she is a gentle giant, she is a larger dog and so she needs owners who can manage her strength while on her walks. will need to be the only pet living at home and be able to walk in quiet areas as she can be uncomfortable around other dogs.”
