Fridges fail at Tesco Extra in Beeston because of scorching weather

Fridges have failed at a Tesco supermarket because of the scorching weather.

Tesco Extra, in Station Road, has been affected on what has been confirmed as the hottest day ever in Nottingham since records began, with temperatures reaching 34.9C.

The company is working to resolve the issue.

A Tesco spokeswoman said: “The refrigerators at our Nottingham Beeston Extra have failed as a result of the high temperatures we have experienced today.

"We are working to get the fridges back up and running as soon as possible and we apologise to our customers for any inconvenience this has caused.”
