Friday's weather: it's going to be about 10 degrees cooler today, thank goodness

If you're not a fan of melting into a puddle every time you try to move, you'll be pleased to know that today (Friday 26 July) won't be anything like the inferno we saw yesterday, when temperatures in the city centre reached a never-before-seen 31.2°C.

In contrast, today will be warm but mostly cloudy, with highs of 22°C, and even scattered showers later in the day.

It's then set to rain pretty much solidly on Saturday, making us feel a bit regretful about how much we complained about the heatwave.
